1. Información General

WallVid ("nosotros", "nuestro" o "la aplicación") es una aplicación para Mac, desarrollada por Diego Figueroa, que convierte tus videos en fondos de pantalla animados. Esta Política de Privacidad describe qué información maneja la aplicación, dónde se guarda y qué control tienes sobre ella.

2. Información que Maneja la App

2.1 Tus videos

• Cuando agregas un video (MP4, M4V o MOV), WallVid lo copia a su propia carpeta dentro de tu Mac, para que el fondo siga funcionando aunque muevas o borres el original
• Solo puede leer los archivos que tú eliges o arrastras; no tiene acceso al resto de tus carpetas
• Para ahorrar energía, crea en tu Mac versiones más ligeras de cada video y una imagen fija de su primer fotograma
• Esa imagen fija se usa como fondo de pantalla de macOS, por eso también aparece en la pantalla de bloqueo

2.2 Tu biblioteca y ajustes

• Títulos de los videos, colecciones, fondos rotativos, "Día y noche" y preferencias de reproducción
• Se guardan solo en tu Mac; no se sincronizan ni se envían a ningún lugar

2.3 Información del sistema que se consulta (sin guardarla ni enviarla)

• Pantallas conectadas: su tamaño, para reproducir la versión adecuada en cada una
• Batería y modo de bajo consumo: para pausar o aligerar la reproducción si así lo eliges
• Apariencia clara u oscura de macOS: para la función "Día y noche"
• Tiempo sin usar el teclado o el ratón: solo cuánto tiempo pasó, nunca qué escribes ni dónde haces clic, para iniciar el protector de pantalla de WallVid si lo activaste
• Si hay un video o una llamada en curso: solo para no iniciar el protector de pantalla en ese momento
• Bloqueo de pantalla y reposo: para pausar el video cuando nadie lo está viendo

2.4 Lo que NO recopilamos

• ❌ Cuentas, email, nombre ni ningún dato personal (WallVid no tiene registro)
• ❌ Tus videos ni información sobre ellos
• ❌ Lo que escribes, tus archivos ni tu actividad en otras apps
• ❌ Ubicación, contactos ni fotos
• ❌ Analítica, publicidad ni SDKs de seguimiento de terceros

3. Conexión a Internet

WallVid no se conecta a internet. No tiene servidores propios ni usa servicios de terceros. La única excepción es el botón "Dejar una reseña", que abre la página de WallVid en la App Store: esa página la muestra la app App Store de Apple, no WallVid.

4. Notificaciones

Si les das permiso, WallVid puede mostrarte notificaciones locales, generadas en tu Mac, por ejemplo cuando el protector de pantalla de macOS se inicia antes que el de WallVid. Puedes desactivarlas en Ajustes del Sistema → Notificaciones.

5. Almacenamiento

• Tus videos, su biblioteca y las imágenes fijas se guardan en la carpeta privada de WallVid en tu Mac (~/Library/Containers/com.diego.WallVid)
• Las versiones ligeras de los videos se guardan como caché; macOS puede borrarlas si necesita espacio y WallVid las vuelve a crear
• WallVid funciona en el entorno protegido (sandbox) de macOS, que limita lo que la app puede ver en tu Mac

6. Apple

Si en Ajustes del Sistema aceptaste compartir análisis con desarrolladores, Apple puede compartir con nosotros estadísticas de uso y reportes de fallos anónimos y agregados. Puedes desactivarlo en Ajustes del Sistema → Privacidad y seguridad → Análisis y mejoras. WallVid es gratuito y no tiene compras dentro de la app.

7. Tus Derechos y Control

• Acceder: toda tu información está visible en la app
• Eliminar: puedes borrar cualquier video o colección desde la app. En Ajustes → Almacenamiento puedes vaciar las versiones ligeras
• Borrar todo: desinstala WallVid y elimina la carpeta ~/Library/Containers/com.diego.WallVid
• Tu fondo de pantalla: al quitar el fondo o salir de WallVid, tú eliges si queda la imagen del video, un fondo negro o tu fondo anterior
• Revocar permisos: puedes desactivar las notificaciones y el inicio de sesión automático en Ajustes del Sistema

8. Retención de Datos

• Tus datos permanecen en tu Mac hasta que los borres
• Nosotros no guardamos copias de tu información, porque nunca la recibimos

9. Contenido de los Videos

WallVid no incluye videos: reproduce los que tú agregas. Eres responsable de tener derecho a usar los videos que agregues.

10. Privacidad de Menores

WallVid no recopila información de ninguna persona, incluidos menores de edad. Si tienes dudas como padre, madre o tutor, escríbenos.

11. Cambios a esta Política

Podemos actualizar esta política cuando la app cambie. Actualizaremos la fecha de "Última actualización" y mencionaremos los cambios importantes en las notas de la versión de la App Store.

12. Marco Legal

Esta política se redactó considerando:

• Las Directrices de revisión de la App Store de Apple (sección 5.1)
• La LFPDPPP (Ley Federal de Protección de Datos Personales en Posesión de los Particulares, México)
• El RGPD/GDPR (Unión Europea) y la CCPA (California, EE. UU.)

1. General Information

WallVid ("we", "our" or "the app") is a Mac app, developed by Diego Figueroa, that turns your videos into animated wallpapers. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app handles, where it is stored, and what control you have over it.

2. Information the App Handles

2.1 Your videos

• When you add a video (MP4, M4V or MOV), WallVid copies it into its own folder on your Mac, so the wallpaper keeps working even if you move or delete the original
• It can only read the files you choose or drag in; it has no access to the rest of your folders
• To save energy, it creates lighter versions of each video and a still image of its first frame, on your Mac
• That still image is used as your macOS desktop picture, which is why it also shows on the lock screen

2.2 Your library and settings

• Video titles, collections, rotating wallpapers, "Day & Night" and playback preferences
• Stored only on your Mac; they are not synced or sent anywhere

2.3 System information that is checked (never stored or sent)

• Connected displays: their size, to play the right version on each one
• Battery and Low Power Mode: to pause or lighten playback if you choose to
• macOS light or dark appearance: for the "Day & Night" feature
• Time without keyboard or mouse input: only how much time has passed, never what you type or where you click, to start WallVid's screen saver if you turned it on
• Whether a video or a call is in progress: only to avoid starting the screen saver at that moment
• Screen lock and sleep: to pause the video when no one is watching

2.4 What we DON'T collect

• ❌ Accounts, email, name or any personal data (WallVid has no sign-up)
• ❌ Your videos or information about them
• ❌ What you type, your files or your activity in other apps
• ❌ Location, contacts or photos
• ❌ Analytics, advertising or third-party tracking SDKs

3. Internet Connection

WallVid doesn't connect to the internet. It has no servers of its own and uses no third-party services. The only exception is the "Leave a Review" button, which opens WallVid's App Store page: that page is shown by Apple's App Store app, not by WallVid.

4. Notifications

If you allow them, WallVid can show you local notifications, generated on your Mac, for example when the macOS screen saver starts before WallVid's. You can turn them off in System Settings → Notifications.

5. Storage

• Your videos, their library and the still images are stored in WallVid's private folder on your Mac (~/Library/Containers/com.diego.WallVid)
• Lighter versions of the videos are stored as a cache; macOS may remove them when it needs space, and WallVid recreates them
• WallVid runs in the macOS App Sandbox, which limits what the app can see on your Mac

6. Apple

If you agreed in System Settings to share analytics with developers, Apple may share anonymous, aggregated usage statistics and crash reports with us. You can turn this off in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements. WallVid is free and has no in-app purchases.

7. Your Rights and Control

• Access: all your information is visible in the app
• Delete: you can delete any video or collection in the app. In Settings → Storage you can clear the lighter versions
• Delete everything: uninstall WallVid and remove the folder ~/Library/Containers/com.diego.WallVid
• Your wallpaper: when you remove the wallpaper or quit WallVid, you choose whether a still of the video, a black background or your previous wallpaper stays
• Revoke permissions: you can turn off notifications and opening at login in System Settings

8. Data Retention

• Your data stays on your Mac until you delete it
• We don't keep any copies of your information, because we never receive it

9. Video Content

WallVid doesn't include any videos: it plays the ones you add. You are responsible for having the right to use the videos you add.

10. Children's Privacy

WallVid doesn't collect information from anyone, including children. If you are a parent or guardian and have questions, contact us.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this policy as the app changes. We will update the "Last updated" date and mention important changes in the App Store release notes.

This policy was written with the following in mind:

• Apple's App Store Review Guidelines (section 5.1)
• Mexico's LFPDPPP (Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties)
• The EU GDPR and California's CCPA
